Today's find is fresh off The Casualties' new cd, We Are All We Have. After almost 20 years together, this group still finds a way to bring a new sound without straying from their roots.
It seems like lately, my bloggy ladies have all been going through their own hard times.

I’m posting this week’s Find a little early because I will be at the Speedway all day tomorrow and at the small track most of the night so I won’t have a chance to get this out on Friday.
I’m not going to tell you what the name of the song or artist. This is one you will just have to click to find out. I will say that I am posting this in honor of it being the month of May in Indianapolis and this weekend being race weekend here.
While I do not carry the same sentiments as the song, it’s still fun. And Fidgeting Gidget, I know you’ll appreciate this one!

It’s been a long and terrible week, so I guess this song is fitting. I’m not sure how many people have actually heard Johnny Cash doing the cover of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails, but it is something I think everyone should hear at least once.
The song has that matter of fact attitude that is all Cash, but it’s spooky and painfully telling. It’s simple, raw and powerful. The video manages to capture some amazing shots throughout the musician’s life and flows perfectly with the music.
Today’s find is a song by One Less Reason. I stumbled upon this band a few years ago. I’ve never seen them live, but have a couple of their cd’s and almost every song is worth listening to.

This song is one of my favorites. I often tell my wonderful best friend this song makes me think of him….
The song is by Dead Milkmen, a Philadelphia born pop-punk group, who formed in the early 80’s. Their comedic twist on serious social issues and other things affecting youth and society is unmatched by anything I’ve ever heard before. If I had one word to describe them it would simply be fun.

I thought I would try something new and try to give you one song every week that you have probably never heard of, but that you should definitely give a listen to. It might be old, hard to find or just a new garage band. I hope you like it…
I want everybody to check out this song by Ali O’Keeffe. This Irishman has a beautiful Jeff Buckley quality to his style, but is still completely unique. His songs are pure emotion and draw you in without even realizing it.
