I learned something new today, how to wash clothes at the laundrymat! I guess I've been spoiled because I've always had a washer and dryer in the house and never had to go out to wash clothes. My new place doesn't have one, but luckily there is a little place right across the street.
I'll admit, I was nervous about this, strange machines that other people have used cleaning my clothes. But after some advice from my roommate, I decided to go for it. The fact that I am completely out of clean clothes may have had something to do with my courageousness also.

we are sooooo lucky this year because the apartment we moved into last summer has washer and dryer in it (which takes up the single closet we have in our place -- a sacrifice that i feel is completely worth it!) but before, we had to use the laundry mat. we did get to the point that we'd just turn in our clothes and have someone else do them, because hated the place so much!
