My bucket list ~ top 5 must do's

Here is a list of things I would like to do before I die. Some are crazy and probably completely unattainable. Some I plan to at least start on this year.

Visit Egypt
The ancient Egyptian culture has always fascinated me; I even took a course in college. I would love to see the pyramids in real life and experience the culture of a country so different from my own. My dad actually just got back from taking my dream vacation to Egypt with National Geographic. I am waiting anxiously for him to send some pictures soon!

Visit New York City
We are actually planning a trip to NYC this summer. I love new and interesting places and everything I’ve read about the city seems to say that it is a place everyone should visit at least once. I want to go see some concerts while we are there and see how people live in the Big Apple. And I definitely want to make it a Broadway show. As you know, from my “concrete jungle” post, I love the way blocks of tall buildings makes things feel homey and comfortable. This just might be the perfect place for me.

Swim with sharks
I am absolutely and completely terrified of sharks, but at the same time completely in awe of them. I would love to get a chance to go underwater in one of those protective cages and see them close up in their own environment. The city aquarium does not count.

Write a book
I’ve always loved writing, which was one of the reasons I started the blog in the first place. Someday I want to write a novel and have it published. I hope that it turns out to be something meaningful that will inspire people or at least make them think. I am just waiting for the right idea to strike me.

Do something that will make a lasting impression on the world
As you can tell from my completely broad title on this activity, I have not a clue what to do or how to accomplish this task. I think everyone feels this way. I want to do something before I die that people will remember. I want to do something that will make a positive difference in the world, even if it only makes things better for one person.

Okay to all of that, except swimming with the sharks. Geez!

I recommend you do the other 4 things before you swim with the sharks. Just sayin'.
